to overeating. Why? Levels of certain
chemicals rise when people eat their

You’ve probably heard that the chemical bisphenol A (BPA) is linked to a slew of health issues, including ticker trouble and infertility. But a new concern has surfaced: BPA is likely a breakdown product of another, more potent chemical, bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (BADGE), which could contribute to weight gain. Researchers found that stem cells exposed to low amounts of BADGE turned into fat cells. Since BADGE can be found in many bottles, aluminum cans, and lined cardboard boxes, study author Bruce Blumberg, Ph.D., of the University of California at Irvine, recommends buying and storing goods in glass or stainless-steel containers, and limiting the use of plastics.

reports that rheumatoid arthritis (RA),
a condition that causes painful joint

Regular exercise is important for weight
